Frisbeer is a great game for the beach!
Have you heard of Frisbeer? If not, then you are seriously missing out on a great outdoor drinking game. Well you might say that there aren't that many outdoor drinking games to play for a reason, but I say any additional reason to drink is a great one. Try it out and you tell me.
Okay, so this game is really easy to setup, when you are sober. Don't break out the beer yet. Setup the distance between the goals anywhere from 22 - 55 feet apart (varies depending on house rules and skill level).
Now, setup the poles, you can stick the poles in the ground, or surround them with rocks to hold it up. Whatever your preferred method, it doesn't matter. Dude, this is a drinking game.
If you didn't pay attention to the rules, and already started drinking, good for you, those empty bottles were needed. If you did wait, is a drinking game right for you? Now, wrap the empty bottles with duct tape (so they don't break), and balance them on the pole. You can use beer cans too, but bottles work better.
The goal of frisbeer is to knock off the opposing team's bottle by throwing the Frisbee at their pole. There are 2 players to a side, behind each pole. You can't cross the pole to throw or catch the Frisbee, you must remain behind.
You must also have an open beer in one of your hands, so you are playing one handed. (Unless you're playing one on one) Once the game starts and if someone is missing a beer, the opposing team can call 'Fish out of the water' and that person has to down a bottle.
The team playing offense will try and knock off the other team's bottle by either hitting the bottle or the pole it's standing on.
The team playing defense, without reaching in front of the pole, has to catch the bottle and Frisbee before they touch the ground. Sounds easy? Well, you can't spill the beer in your hand either, and remember that beer has to be in your hands at all times.
The scoring is as follows:
For each point scored against you, you have to take a swig of beer. The first team to reach 11 points wins (or 15 or 21, depending on house rules and wait list, you decide).
So the game sounds simple right? Well, imagine you've downed a case by yourself and you're chasing a Frisbee with bad hand-eye coordination. Pledges are great victims for this game during pledge week. Keep that in mind.
For some added pleasure, choose a beer that everyone hates. This can make it more enjoyable as the losers sit there choking down the vomit water.
