There's no secret to it... it's just a straight up numbers game. The more people who know and like you, the more parties you'll be invited to.
So get involved at your school! Join a fraternity or sorority, or a couple of clubs, organizations, etc. Anything that will help you get out there and meet more fellow students at your college. And before you know it, you'll be picking and choosing which parties to hit up... and party hoppin' all over town!
There are tons of methods people swear by to prevent hangovers, but just remember... it's mostly what you do before you crash that matters, not after you wake up. Because when you wake up, you're already fucked up... so the only thing you can do then is try to reduce how long you're hung over for. (Which sometimes can't be helped, but it's best to try to prevent it all-together.)
Here are some common practices that can help PREVENT a hangover.
Before you sleep...
Foods that absorb alcohol well: Anything with bread, buns, or rice... ie - sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, burritos, etc (or in fast food terms - McD's, BK, Taco Bell... it's all good); as well as any pizza joint (the pizza dough works well to absorb alcohol).
If you're unable to prevent it, here are some ways to REMEDY a hangover.
In the morning...
"Beer before liquor, never been sicker; liquor before beer, never fear."
You might've heard this advice before, but don't go out of your way to try to follow it. Because this only applies to a certain extent, that is to say, it's mainly for newbies, lightweights and easy drunks... but if you're a regular alcohol consumer (which is most everybody in college), it doesn't really effect you. So drink on! Don't worry about what you drink and when. Just remember to eat some grub before you crash.
The best way to avoid them party-bustin' coppers is to be pre-emptive when planning your party. Most parties (probably 90% of 'em) are busted because some neighbor made a noise complaint or some kind of complaint against you. So before your big night, leave a note with the neighbors, or better yet, just go tell them in person that you're gonna have a lil' get-together at your place with some friends. Give them your # and let them know that if your friends get too loud or rowdy, to just call you.
Nine times out of ten, they never actually call you, EVEN if you are being too loud and rowdy, because they just like the fact that you actually cared to let them know before-hand.
And this works! Few of them will ever actually call you, and even fewer will ever call the cops. They'll never call the cops unless they have some other reason to not like you (like previous instances of your dog crapping all over their yard, or something to that effect). :p
Before the party, meet up with a few friends to pre-party and drink up a buzz before going out. The party most likely won't be hoppin' until late anyway, 'cause most people don't start showing up to parties until around 10/11pm. So you got some time to pre-game before then.
When you roll out, don't bring unnecessary stuff you have to take off at the party (which you'll most likely forget and lose) or have to carry around all night... like a jacket or a purse. If it's cold out, just drink enough at your pre-party 'til you got a 'beer jacket' (your magical coat of alcohol that helps you not feel cold at all)! As far as the purse... do you really need all that stuff? Just take what's necessary... key, phone, and rubber (actually more so the guys' responsibility, but whatever).
For the dudes... don't roll to the party with nothing but a bunch of other dudes! Nobody will like your contribution of turning the party into a sausage fest. :p
Don't start a fight - You'll only end up cock blocking everybody at the party, including yourself! Because a fight is a sure way to end a party and all the possible hook-ups, and that's a damn shame.
Always carry a condom - Again, more so the guys' responsibility, but it could go both ways. Chix and dix both... always be safe, just in case. Because all it takes is one dirty bird to ruin your life.
Keep an eye out on your buddies who're passed out and puking, especially them newbies to drinking. At least check on 'em once in a while to make sure they're not choking on their own vomit or od'ing or something. It actually happens more often than you think. Never wear a mask - The basic rule for costume parties... it's never a good idea to wear a mask, because you'll have to take it off every time you wanna drink. And that's lame! If you got nothing else for a costume to wear, just think dirty and get creative. Dress up as the opposite sex or wrap up your privates in aluminum foil or something and roll!
For any dispute or altercation (like disagreements over game rules), the house will always have the final say!
There's always gonna be arguments over the dumbest of things when alcohol is involved... even discussing simple game rules can become confrontational.
But if you're the host, try to set things straight early, before it becomes a problem. And if you're the attendee, you're gonna have to bow down to the house rules, 'cause the house is always right. And they will always have a bigger posse to back them up too! :p
