College Party Planning 101

Everything about college party planning revolves around answering the following: When? Where? Who? What? and How?

1. WHEN and WHERE to throw the party?

When? - The best time to throw a party is on the nights with no school the next day, like weekends and holidays. But if you got enough like-minded partyholics like yourself, whenever is fine... any night can be a party night!

Where? - Throw your party at a friend's house, not yours... so as to not have your place trashed, but your buddy's. I mean, c'mon... what are friends for?

Seriously though, you can do it up anywhere, but it'd be best to have your party at the most spacious house among you and your friends, and preferably one that's also isolated furthest from its' neighbors. Or at least a crib with some cool neighbors who're least likely to call the cops on you.

So if your buddy's place is the roomier pad with other college students for neighbors, then hell yeah! Get'r done over there instead... even if you have to bribe your buddy! :P

2. WHO all to invite?

Guys - invite a few good buddies, but mostly honeys! The general rule of thumb is to invite at least 2 chicks for every dude you tell. Otherwise, you can very well end up with a sausage fest, because guys tend to flock to parties at a higher rate than the ladies you invite! :p

Girls - just invite your girlfriends; don't worry about the guys, trust me, they'll all be there! They got special radar for this kinda thing you know! (How does the saying go? "If you build it... they will come!")

3. WHAT kind of party to throw?

A regular kegger or a theme party?

Although the only requirements to a tight college party is alcohol and girls, it's good to spice the shindigs up with some themes and different party ideas now and then. Pick your flavor!

4. WHAT provisions to get?

The supplies and equipment you need depends on many factors, but most importantly, it depends on what kind of party games and entertainment you wanna set up. So figure out what drinking games you wanna throw first. Then get all the alcohol and necessary supplies you need. (Just remember... the more options available to your guests the better!)
