A good beach party usually has the following supplies. Always bring blankets, towels, umbrellas, beach balls, charcoal grills, burgers, brats, beer, and wine. You can leave the rest to your guests who will have their own agendas. Oh, and don't forget the camera. Beach parties tend to go with beautiful sunsets. You wouldn't want to miss out on a great shot.

Some people go to a sandy playground with a volleyball court, or bring in a bunch of sand in their backyard (or even in the garage or basement... but the cleanup is a bitch), while others head up to their local lake and find a nice piece of shore. We've even seen people turn a spring glacier into a beach at a local ski area. Snow is like sand, right? It doesn't matter. As long as you bring in the right elements, you can have the beach wherever you want it.

Combining the beach party with camping can make it a longer and more memorable experience. If you're going to do this, make sure you have your beach party near some kind of legitimate campsite or place where you and your guests are unlikely to get kicked out by police in the middle of the night. Asking locals about camping is a start. Usually, if you camp directly on the beach, you will have problems with rising tides and others who can see you very clearly. Adding the overnight element to your beach party can increase your drunkenness options, lengthen the event, and keep you and your guests off the road when you probably shouldn't be there in the first place.
