Caps Drinking Game

The Caps drinking game involves throwing bottle caps into plastic cups across a table, similar to beer pong, except that you use bottle caps instead of ping pong balls, and you only need 1 cup per team.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Bottle caps
• 2 plastic cups/mugs
• A long table
• And plenty of beer

GAME RULES

Caps usually has 2 players per team, just like beer pong, but the Caps drinking game can also be played heads up too. And just like beer pong, there are TONS of house rules and variations to the game! Here are some of the basics...

• Opposing sides sit about 12* ft apart (or whatever the house rules dictate... this can vary a lot)


• The cup/mug is placed in between the 2 players on each side and filled with beer* (or some water, to keep the caps from bouncing out of an empty glass, IF you're using separate, designated drinking cups).


• If it's the first game of the night, flip a cup to decide which side gets to go first. Henceforth, the winning teams will decide who'll shoot first for each subsequent game.


• Both teams take turns shooting the cap at the opposing team's cup. But unlike beer pong, where both players on a team usually shoot consecutively, the players in this game switch sides in between shots.


• Whenever a cap is made, the opposing side has a chance to rebuttal... if they miss their rebuttal shot, the first team gets 1 point and the opposing team has to drink *half their beer (or 1/3 or even 1/4, depending on the size of the cup/mug and house rules). If the opposing team makes their rebuttal shot, then the shots cancel each other out and there's no point rewarded.*
  
  (In another variation... any made rebuttal shot forces the rebuttal to go back to the original team that made the shot and that original team has to make a rebuttal shot too. This then goes back and forth as long as it takes, until one side has to drink, and the other gets the point.)


• The first team to get to *7 points wins (this can vary house game to house game, and can also be changed to speed up the game if necessary). But the game has to be won by 2... meaning there's no winner yet if the score is 7 to 6. So the game will continue until one team is ahead by 2 points, then the winner can be declared.
