Blow Me

Blow Me

Blow Me, also known as Beer Blow or Card Blow, is one of the lesser known drinking games in colleges, but not because it lacks in intoxication level or fun factor. It's catching on in popularity in a lot of areas, mainly because it's so easy to play and can get you drunk quickly. This is a game that works best with a group of 6 or more. This is a card game that involves blowing cards and drinking of an ice cold beer, based on the number of cards that you can make fall.

What you will need for this game is an empty bottle of beer and a single deck of cards, and possibly some paper towels (in case the cards get wet). Begin by making a circle of people, and sit around the bottle of beer. When you have everyone in a circle, place the deck of cards facing down on top of the bottle of beer. As I mentioned before, 6 people or more works best, but you need a minimum of 4 to play.

Once everyone is settled down, choose a person to go first. This person will then attempt to blow at least 1 card off the deck. If they are unable to blow any cards off, they have to drink. If they blow off exactly 1 card, everyone drinks. If they blow off more than one, then no one drinks. And the play continues to the next player. Unless they blow off the entire deck of cards, then they have to chug a whole beer.

The goal of Blow Me is to not be the person to blow off the last card. Whoever does has to chug their drink. So be wary of sitting next to an experienced player, because they can intentionally screw you over by leaving you with just a few.

Penalties

  • If a player is unable to blow off any cards.

  • If a player blows off the last card off the bottle.

  • If a player touches the cards or bottle at all.

  • If a player takes more than one breath to blow (you're only allowed one good blow).

Optional/Variations

To make the game more interesting, you can add on additional rules for the overturned cards that are blown off. For example, if a face card (ie - jacks, queens, kings) is blown off you get to make somebody take a drink, or if an ace is overturned you get to make someone chug their drink, etc.

You can also make rules for certain suits, like if a player overturns a spade then they themselves have to drink.

You can make up whatever rules you want for the card/suit designations, or even a certain number of cards that are blown off... say if someone blows off 4 cards then it's a "social", everyone drinks. And so on, have fun with it!
