Avalanche Game

The Avalanche game is a dice drinking game which can be played by any number of people. It's a great college party game when you got too many people for other table drinking games.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • A die
  • Empty game glasses
  • Beer or liquor

GAME RULES

Begin with one glass to start. Then one player add some alcohol (any amount of their choosing) to the glass, and throw a six-sided die on the table to start things off. Then the game will continue counterclockwise around the table, with the following rules applying to each number of the die that's rolled:

1No event, play passes to the next person.
2The player doubles the amount of alcohol in the glass or fills it up full (whichever is less). Then play passes to the next person.
3Player must drink the glass.
4Player yells "Floor!" and all players must point downward towards the floor. Last player to do so has to drink the glass. (You can also specify another word and action for this rule instead, if you wish, but the last player to do whatever action you specify for rolling a "4" will always have to drink the game glass.)
5Player has to roll again, and if they roll another 5, then they get to pick someone to drink the glass. If any other number is rolled, it's treated as indicated for that number.
6No event, play passes to the next person.

When the original game glass is given to the 'drinker' (loser from 3, 4 or 5), the next player continues with another glass. If the drinker has not finished his/her glass by the time play returns to them, then they are automatically out and lose the game. If any player drinks 3 game glasses, they are also out with a loss. The winner is the last one standing not to lose in these two instances.

The ranking for the next game is the same as for the drinking game, Asshole, where you rank from "president" to "asshole"... except that staying in this game longer is actually beneficial, whereas in Asshole, it's best to be the first one out.
